Members Entrance and Parking Instructions
These directions start whilst travelling from Barden toward Grassington via Burnsall and then returning via Hebden and Appletreewick.
Also entrance and parking to the reservoir.
- Low House farm. RH side Burnsall road from Barden. Follow track to end and park in front of farmhouse walled garden. ABBAC parking sign. 4 cars. Entrance to river through gate between out buildings below parking.
- Drebley Hamlet. Grass verge opposite buildings. Long walk to river via marked footpath.
- Daggets Barn. Entrance gate gate RH side opposite houses below the Devonshire Fell. (Awkward corner be careful). Follow Track down to Barn. Park left hand side of Barn. Parking for 3 cars.
- Red Lion (Burnsall) Parking at rear by the far wall. Subject to how busy they are.
- Burnsall cafe car park. Small charge.
- Grassington road from Burnsall. Some roadside parking if available.
- Burnsall roadside adjacent to green or Left hand side over bridge.
- Riley’s Field. Past Thorp turn off. Entrance RH side. If the barrier is locked. Key safe on LH stone gate post other side of barrier. Return key immediately after entry. Continue down to the end of the lane. On the left park at the right hand side of the gap by sign. Room for 3-4 cars.
- Linton church. Car Park. Stepping stones to cross river. Recommended at low water.
- Old lane down to Grassington STW. Gap near end of lane is for turning ONLY. Use verge above gateway to field on other side of track.
- New Track To Grassington STW. Entrance on bend to Lythe house Farm. (Awkward road bend be careful) Turn right after gap in wall beyond farm on right. At the bottom of the hill you will see a wall on the right with ABBAC parking for 2 cars.
- Hebden suspension bridge. Parking on road by houses. Number dependent on available space. Entry to river over stream bridge through gate on left hand side.
- Woodhouse Manor farm. Entance over bridge 100 metre on right. Follow track down to farm turn right and park on the dales way along side wall past metal gate on left hand side.
- Appletreewick. Gateway opposite New Inn. Key safe on wall left hand side of gate. Take a key with you. Relic after entry. 3 keys available. (Brass padlock). Parking by river or if wet area by STW on RH side. Please return key on exit.
- Drebley stepping stones. Lane RH side down to farm over Fir beck bridge. Park just past static caravan. Parking for 2 cars.
- Gamsworth Farm. Follow track toward farmhouse. Parking is on the grass to the right of the entrance gate to the farm buildings,in front of the water trough. Sign on post ABBAC. Parking for two cars.
- Barden Bridge. Lay-by on Left bank. Entrance to right bank over bridge via metal gate on right. Combination lock.
